1. Evaluate MedHome’s HR practices from the perspective of workforce planning and talent
management. (LO 1, 2)
MedHome was a medical equipment company that delivered and supplied medical equipment to care
centers and to people who needed care at home. Recently, the workforce amounting to 20% retired and
therefore a huge vacancy was le( which was ful)lled by new employees. Talking about the HR practices
from the perspective of workforce planning, it can be seen that MedHome resorted to job descriptions
that were created by the older employees of the organization who had now retired. These job
descriptions were related to the company employees of the past and did not match the requirements of
the company or their expectations from the employees now. Therefore the HR planning of MedHome’s
wasn’t sound and needed an upgrade in terms of their requirements from the employees, planning, and
application.
2. Where did the job description revision process at MedHome break down? Explain whether it is
necessary to start over with a complete job analysis, or if another revision of the current job
