Advantages
To implement Kaplan and Norton’s (1992) “what you measure is what you get”
mentality, one must clarify the strategy, simplify the number of measures used to minimize
information overload, and finally operationalize the vision. Since Northern State University
seems desperately in need of agreement and consistency, this will ultimately aid them in getting
reaccredited which will communicate their high standards and high-quality education, something
that is hard to prove just by looking at their financial statements since they are a non-profit.
