In regards to Jane there are a couple of legal defenses that you can take against
them. The simplest and most basic answer is forgery and check fraud. Jane is taking
checks from the business account and falsifying your signature. This is illegal and easy
enough to prove since Jane is not an authorized signer or the account. Jane is acting
against the business criminally by making or altering a written instrument for the purpose
of fraud or deceit. In this case signing the check is a criminal act and is punishable by
