1. Of the four options available to Angi, which is the most ethical?
I think that Michelle is the most ethical option. The other three candidates each have
something going on in their personal lives that make you feel as if they should be chosen to be
helped out. But, ethically speaking, we are not supposed to give anyone special treatment and
this includes special treatment because of their personal lives. We are supposed to pick people
that would be best for the company overall and Michelle is an exceptional graduate student who
is not specifically doing it for the money. Analisa is also a considerable option as she has
beneficial skills, but because her faculty member mentioned picking her could help “smooth
things over” it could look like Angi only chose her because of that situation and was giving her
special treatment due to her feeling alienated. That is why I feel that Michelle is the most ethical
option.
2. Using the principles of distributive justice, who would Angi choose to become the research
assistant?
According to the principles of distributive justice I still feel like when according to an
equal share or opportunity that Michelle should become the research assistant. As I said before
this position should be chosen based on who would be best for the job and not based off of
