One of the most famous country clubs in the world is the Augusta National Golf Club. Its
unique prestige of members, culture, and history has given this country club a huge reputation.
Starting its Operations in 1933, it was founded by Bobby Jones & Clifford Roberts. The type of
ownership is run privately with one majority owner. The current owner of the club is named Billy
Payne. Located in Augusta, Georgia, it is one of the most exclusives clubs that have very wealthy
and prestigious members involved with the club.
For a brief history, a good start is to recognize who created the club in the first place.
Bobby Jones, one of the most successful & recognize American amateur golfer in history of the
sport. His influence helped golf advance to stages unlike ever before at the time. After
retirement, Jones became so popular it would be difficult for him to play golf privately without
