A.Summary:
– In this case you find that the trucking company Knight Transportation,
Inc. has experienced fast growth since they were established in 1989.
This company transports many items such as staples, paper products,
packaging and plastic materials, manufactured goods, and imported
and exported goods. Knight Transportation has refrigerated trucks that
carry perishable foods. Since this company is growing, they felt it was
necessary to know more about their truck locations and what is in
each truck.

long distances to pick up goods, while there is usually an available
trailer much closer to the location.
2. Since, installing the Fleet-View information system, managers now can
have an current accurate location of the trailers and information of
what is inside them in just a click of a button. The managers can now
easily know what trailer is empty and what trailer is not. The
managers can also determine if their drivers stop more than they need
to.
3. The indicators for greater efficiency at Knight Transportation now are
that they are able to dispatch its truck on more efficient routes and
reduce the need to drive around in search of an empty trailer. The
company is also now profitable and they enjoyed an 11 percent profit.
4. Considering the software that Knight Transportation uses, it is an
advantage over the competitors for long because the devices and the
software that they use can help them with profits and the efficiency of
their work will be better.
