FACTS
The Deceased Candelario Lopez resided with his wife in Rio Grande, Texas, but he never worked
near his hometown while being employed by Interstate Treating, Inc. (I.T.) because the
employer would assign him to remote locations. Therefore, at times when I.T. would send the
deceased to remote areas, he would have to come up with living arrangements. I.T. paid the
victim an hourly wage plus a daily allowance for his subsistence, and the company also provided
the deceased with a company vehicle, would pay the insurance and provided a credit card to
