Suzlon
Suzlon Energy Limited was conceived as an idea of wind power generation to support its
primary business which was a textile company. Where the energy consumption was soaring
high and to control its energy costs, wind power was thought to be the long-term solution.
And in two years it turned out to be successful investment. Then CEO, Tulsi Tanti thought to
explore energy industry once he had already tried it, and hence Suzlon Energy Limited was
born.
Bharath Forge
Bharath Forge first was a domestic company established to meet the raw material parts for
engines to meet India’s automotive production demand. Due to growth over a decade from
1970s, by 1980s they were dominating leaders of the industry in India. Due to LPG
(Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization) laws introduced in India, Bharath forge found
itself in favorable position as a supplier for many automobile companies who were going to
establish manufacture production in India.
