Career Essay
High school teachers assist students for their next steps in life after graduation and
teach a certain subject or two. The goal for me is to be a history teacher. I felt this was the right
career choice for me because I’ve always been intrigued by history and would like to teach it.
Also, being an athlete gives me some experience to be able to coach a sport or two. I also have
this goal to lead young adults in the right direction, not just after high school, but in life. I feel I
can really influence my students to strive and achieve their goals. When it became the time to
