Career Choice
In life, people have a career choice to make once they hit an adult age. The choices they
need to make differs from person to person based on communities like country, or village, or
even people. Depending on how a person life is spent when growing up could and defiantly
influence their career choice. Some people pursue on a specific career path because their parents
desire them to follow it, and they feel obligated to follow that career in order to satisfy their
parents; there are others who are not specifically sure what career path to follow, so they spent or
rather waste most of their life wondering in an empty shell; and there are those who have a clear
set of mind that are certain on what career path they would like to pursue and there are not
obstacle (like parents ) that prevent them from following their dreams. There are times when a
person wants to pursue in multiple career paths but is unable to pursue. There are multiple career
paths I would like to pursue, and two of those career paths are software engineering and web
developing. Software engineering and web developing coexist and have similar concept but
software engineering deals with more computational problem while web developing is based on
web concept.
What is software engineering? Software engineering is a process where it has a
responsibility to maintain and develop software systems which are trustworthy and productive
for people’s use. Not to forget, they also need to be affordable so it could easily be maintained
and develop which could satisfy customers. Software engineers use mathematic reasoning, and
characteristics and theories of computer science to test, create and assess the software and system
applications that makes computers operate efficiently. In order to follow this career path, one
needs to major in major like computers science where it teaches the person the main fundamental
and theories of computers and software. Of course one does not need to just major in computer
science to follow software engineering paths, but they could also major in electrical engineering
where it touches something about software engineering, or there are some schools that offer
software engineering major which teaches everything about software engineering. So which
major is beneficial to pursue? Of course, software engineering sounds like the path to follow
which is reasonable, but let’s not forget about computer science. Computer science is an overall
course about computers, it is not limited to teaching about just software like software
