Call the Midwife, written by Jennifer Worth, is a memoir written about her that is
describing her working career as a district nurse for her hometown as well as being a midwife in
the East End of London during the 1950s. This book depicts the true story of a young
community midwife, based within a religious community of nursing sisters. This book explains
how she works as a midwife and district nurse, attached to a convent called the Nonnatus
