What Will Rousseau Approve of Today?
What form of government would Jean-Jacques Rousseau approve of today? he believed in the
popular sovereignty form of government. That is, the government should be ruled by the
people. In his time, it would have been difficult to implement his form of government on an
individual basis. However, with today’s modern technologies, Rousseau’s ideas can be more
readily executed and applied to today’s society. So I think at Rousseau is going to approve on
sovereignty form of government because you can change on what people believe in life ,for
example like god most people grown up believing in god and some don’t . The kind of rules ,he
institutions ,and the behavior of the government and that will be savages in a state of nature as
free, equal, peaceful, and happy. When people began to claim ownership of property, Rousseau
argued, inequality, murder, and war resulted.
