Overview
As recommended by a mutual friend, I am pleased to provide some feasible business
suggestions for Starbursts offshore sourcing proposal based on my research and studies. In
the disaster in Bangladesh, most of the victims were females and children who worked for
garment factory companies. The survivors stated they were evacuated before some cracks
on the wall; however, their employers forced them to return to work, because the only thing
the employers considered was pro’t maximization. (The Telegraph, 2013) However,
counterproductively, not only the commercial benets, but also the brands images and the
supply chains of these garment factory companies were damaged for the long-term, because
these companies paid no a/entions to workers’ human rights. In no time, there was much
discussion on the issue of corporate social responsibility versus protability. Hence, this
report will analyze the tradeoff and balance between conducting the business operations
