The core problem is revealed throughout this case study with factual
evidence that was provided. Denise, who is the main actor in this case study, is
presented with a major conflict in which she has to decide between pursuing her
current career or to apply for a new secretarial position. She currently works for
CSR which is a company that provides daycare for children. She is unsure on what
to do because she thoroughly enjoys her current job but she also runs the risk of
being fired from it. Ginny, was the head manager at the day care and was well
liked by everyone who. She improved and grew the Morrisville North Carolina day
care sites by increasing its revenue from $250,000 to $400,000 per year. But
unfortunately she was replaced by a new manager, Rachel. Rachel begins to
implement rules that the current workers are not satisfied with. She begins to do
irrational things such as firing employees for no exact reason, making them file
excessive paperwork leading to busier and more stressful work days and she also
inconveniently changed the locations of work for the employees which increased
driving time. With all of the new problems that is occurring, an unbalance between
the management and staff relations was created.
