Most college students are known to not have support through college. In “ The Late Paper” a
student by the name of Kim was working hard to pass her English class and she was very motivated and
driven that she was going to do it. Kim has her husband at home supporting her but her husband is
letting his friend get in his head about saying she is having an affair which is affecting Kim because its
bringing her motivation down. She lets people get in the way of her decisions. She was headed to turn
her paper in early but let her friend Cindy distract her and went to a party instead. Furthermore due to
the drinking and playing games at the party it caused her to stay out til early in the morning and her
husband was not having it when she woke up in the morning asking for the car keys. In my life I have
always been supported through college, but it was up to me to make the decisions and to know right
from wrong. My parents always encouraged me to have some fun. But I could relate to Kim’s problems.
