Dear Atty. Samira Gutoc,
I am Bril Ger, student in College. I’m writing to ask for your assistance in raising
awareness and educating people here in the Philippines about preserving and protecting
our nature and environment.
Our life and the Earth’s nature are based on the environment. The world is the
entire natural environment around each other. Given that the numerous human-made
actions put our climate and natural resources at greatest risk, we humans should reduce
as much as possible the human intervention on the environment.
Specifically, I request that you take steps to offer seminars in schools including in
barangays to make them realize that it is forbidden to do anything that could lead them to
big sufferings, in compliance with the Presidential Decree known as the Environmental
Impact Statement. Furthermore, I ask that you tell the government not to let business
owners start their businesses in areas rich in resources where they have to cut down or
kill trees. As of 2016, large urban areas have been contaminated, agricultural land quality
is declining, and forest is diminishing, and extreme vulnerability to environmental dangers
and climate-related threats was all cause of our negligence as humans to protect our
environment. This issue is important to me especially I can’t bear seeing images or videos
