Leadership
In my lifetime I have often found myself in a leadership position amongst various
groups of people. Each different group has shaped the leader I am today and how I interact
with others. This book has expanded my view on leadership and shown me that leadership
is not done one particular way, but is dependent on situations and people. Peter Northouse
describes leadership as “the process whereby an individual influences a group of
individuals toward a common goal” (2016). In his book, Leadership: Theory and Practice,
there are several different styles and approaches that one can take when it comes to
leadership. Each style is different because of the way leaders interact with their followers.
