Amendment Project Guidelines
Project Scope: The basis of the project is for students to choose an existing law and detail the law’s
history including its origination and any amendments. After which, students will then
create an
amendment
of their own for the chosen law based upon any issues the student feels the original
law and its current amendments do not address.
1. Students are to develop a PowerPoint Presentation detailing the required components
referenced below and within the power point template. Students cannot choose The
Americans with Disabilities Act because it’s being utilized for this template.
2. Slide 1 is the title slide which details (A) The name of the law for which the project is being
conducted and (B) The name of the student conducting the project.
3. Slides 2 and 3 should be comprised of a minimum of four bullet points each explaining
how the law you chose was created and the details of the law. These two slides are known
as The History of the Law.
4. Slide 4 explains any actual amendments or changes to the law after the law chosen for the
