What is the complete structure of the Federal Court System?
There are 94 district courts, 13 circuit courts (12 regional and 1 federal) and one Supreme
Court. Congress establishes all federal courts. Neubauer and Fradella (2015) has a fourth court
listed for the federal court system. This court is called magistrate court. According to
uscourts.gov (n.d.), the federal court system also includes the U.S. Courts of Claims, U.S. court
of International Trade, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The district courts are the general trial
