Critical Thinking: I think the Court’s ruling were sufficient to overturn the previous ruling
due the behavior of the defendant was abusive and hostile because of Harris’s gender. If he was
doing it to the males as well then we can look at the case in a different light. If I was Harris I
would’ve felt the same way but, I wouldn’t have quit and called for a meeting with management.
I also would’ve got all the other ladies involved in a class action suit against the company, if they
were offended by Harris’s behavior and if the company did not address my concerns. Also we do
not know Harris’s past, maybe she was abused by a former employer of boyfriend and this really
caused her mental anguish.
Ethical Decision Making: If operating under a duty based system of ethics then the employer
employee relationship is being violated by the defendant. His duty is to provide a working
environment that’s conducive to work in a respectful and responsible manner.
