The Ethical Dilemma of Discrimination in the Workplace:
How it Effects our Society

Employment is something everyone must endure at some point in their life, most
will start working in their teens and continue well into their sixties and seventies. Every
job has their own share of stresses but the one thing that doesn’t need to happen is
discrimination based on aspects of their life they can’t change. One of the key reasons
for discrimination is because of someone’s ethical beliefs and the moral standards that
they uphold. Many workplaces have certain standards that are based on laws and
regulations from various government agencies like the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
What exactly is workplace ethics? They are “the moral guidelines that an organization
as a whole, and the individuals who comprise it, follow to comply with state and federal
