Overview
In today’s fast growing business world importance of ethics has grown by manifold. The
business world has become a global village. Many companies are exploring markets outside
their home territory. This has resulted in greater opportunities and competition. With the
rise in competition rises the temptation to take the shortcuts to success which are more
o!en than not unethical. This is seen more in growing markets like India.
People fail to recognize that doing the right things does not automatically bring
success but doing unethical things always leads to failure in long run though some success is
seen in short run. So, it is important for today’s leaders to know the importance of ethics
and take the ethical decisions for the wellness of the company and the country. Apart from
being ethical and taking ethical decisions, they should also be able to inspire their
subordinates take the right path along with them. They should lead from front as an
example and pave an ethical path.
