Animal Staycation Kingdom is a company that is intended to give pet owners and
pets themselves peace of mind while away from home. This company was created
because of the trials and tribulations I myself had while boarding my beloved pets. I
always dreaded vacation because it meant leaving my fur babies behind and that
caused added stress. This is what made me want to own a stress-free boarding facility
that would provide animal boarding and grooming in a vacation style environment. My
intentions are to give animals their own spa vacation while their owners are away or
busy, I want them to have the best opportunity and to reach that goal I will provide
excellent care and attention to their beloved pet just as if it were my own. Our mission at
Staycation Animal Kingdom is to provide an exciting and rewarding vacation space for
pets while their owners are away and to treat them with the same love and respect as
we would our own animals.
Animal Staycation Kingdom provides the following services: daily/nightly rates,
weekly discounted rates, light grooming will be included in weekly stays including
shampooing, brushing, and nail trimming. Another great feature included in this
boarding experience is personal one-on-one exercise and play time. This will give the
animals the feeling of direct attention and is proven to reduce stress while away from
home (Ridgewell, 2017). Our target customers will be pet owners of all kinds in and
surrounding Shelby, North Carolina. Since incorporation Animal Staycation Kingdom
has created its name, anticipated location, and intended services.
The building that will become home to Animal Staycation Kingdom is 1,615 sq. ft
and was previously a very popular animal hospital in Shelby, NC. The address will be
1335 East Dixon Boulevard, Shelby, NC 28152. Operating hours are expected to be
Monday-Sunday and drop-off pick-up times are Monday-Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday
8am until 4pm.
Statistics show that the pet sitting/care industry average growth rate since 2002
was 5.4% and has been growing for well over 20 years. According to the American Pet
Products Association (APPA), revenue in the pet industry is expected to be $62.75
billion in 2016. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics above average job growth is
expected for the industry 11% growth between 2014 and 2024. (Franchise Help, 2018).
In Shelby, North Carolina there are quite a few dog related businesses and animal
related services offered. One of the main competitors is PetSmart, Staycation Animal
Kingdom will compete with PetSmart by offering a lower weekly rate for pet boarding
and by offering a more personal approach at caring for pets.
Animal Staycation Kingdom will serve the residents of Shelby, North Carolina
and immediate surrounding areas. The area being served has an abundance of families
