I really enjoyed reading your post. I have chosen France as well and you make some valid
points about France. One statement I find very interesting in your discussion is France has
complex labor laws. This is true of this country and personally I believe this is one reason
the unemployment rate is so high. High unemployment rates could work in your company
favor. The reason I state this is because you will have a bunch of candidates who will be
looking for an opportunity to get back into the workforce. The type of company you are
bringing will not require a high level of education from your candidates. At my current job,
we look to higher candidates with at least a bachelor degree and has the drive to become a
Branch Manager. I have a difficult time finding qualified candidates because a person with
a degree feels like they are too good to vacuum a car, wash a car or pick-up a customer but
in France with your type of business you will be able to find a good employee.
Another Statement I find interesting is French people value work-life balance. This might
be a challenge even though people need jobs. My reason for this statement is that French
people value spending time with their families and friends. This might be difficult for your
company since it is a manufacturing company. Employees in the United States expect and
depend on overtime to survive while French people would rather be hanging out walking
