MO2 Written Assigment- Work & Learn: Interview a Working Professional

I chose to interview a childhood friend Kayla Finley, who started her own trucking
business called, TK Finley, with her husband Troy. They are the owners and operators of their
business. I wanted to interview her because she came from a similar upbringing as I did, has
the same type of values as I do, and she inspires me to work hard and never give up on my
own goals and dreams.
1. What type of business structure (i.e. corporation, sole proprietorship, limited liability
company, franchise, partnership, etc.) does your current company have? Why?
– Our business is a Limited Liability Company, which separates our business from our
personal assets which was important to us for legal reasons.
2. What property rights including copyrights, patents, or trademarks does your company have?
