Bullying and Corporate Psychopaths
McShane & Von Glinow (2018, pp. 111) state that conflict is a way of life in organizations
and identify interpersonal conflict as one of the four stressors. Psychological harassment is a fast–
growing form of interpersonal conflict that can lead to counterproductive work behaviors (CWBs)
especially when it involves corporate psychopaths (McShane & Von Glinow, 2018, pp. 110-111).
In the video, Boddy describes corporate psychopaths as people with character disorder, lack the
conscience to inhibit bad decisions and actions, and exhibit attitudes that undermine employee’s
dignity or integrity. Psychological harassment in form of bullying and incessant form of incivility
are some of the behaviors of corporate psychopaths as highlighted by the speaker in the video.
