The term bullying is commonly used in schools and it is one of the rising
problems children and teenagers have to face everyday when they are away from their
guardians view and protection. While there are various forms of bullying, cyber bullying
is one of the emerging problems that affect our society at large. According to the national
crime prevention council, they report that it effects more than half of American teens.
Cyber bullying is even more deadly than regular bullying because the threat of the victim
is constantly. Cyber bullying may have no physical contact, but it can harm more than it
seems. It can deeply impact the life of the victim, where some were pushed to depression,
physical harm and most seriously, suicide. It can leave the victim feeling helpless and
overwhelmed. Knowing the emotional and psychological effects bullying can have, like
suicide, people should be educated and take action against bullying. Bullying disrupts a
person emotionally and it can destroy someone’s reputation and life.
According to The department of Health and Human Services, bullying is an
unwanted aggressive behavior among teens that involve power imbalance. Popularity,
physical power or access to embarrassing information can show the power imbalance
between children. The bully, victim and the bystanders or children who witness bullying
