Businesses of all types have finite resources with which to accomplish their tasks.
Financial resources are chief among the list of these resources. Establishing and maintaining an
effective and useable budget will be necessary for any business manager looking to maximize
their returns as they endeavor to drive successful business performance. In this paper, I will
discuss ways that a budget will benefit a business owner, prepare a sample sales budget, walk
through the process of creating new products and their impacts to the sales budget, prepare a
flexible budget, and explore the impacts of financially challenging times on the business’s
current budget.
