Breastfeeding is Unsurpassed by All Other Methods
Every mother has their preference and choice between breastfeeding and formula feeding.
Breastfeeding is entirely natural and becoming very common in the United States. In fact, over
the years, “Breast-feeding rates are on the rise in the United States. The Center for Disease
Control and Preventions 2013 Breast Feeding Report Card found that 77 percent of new mothers
are breastfeeding their babies, up from 71 percent about a decade ago…” (Castillo, 2013). These
statistics are showing great improvement and change when it comes to nurturing newborn babies.
More mothers today choose breastfeeding over formula because of convenience and price,
healthiness, and maternal bonding.
Breastfeeding is extremely convenient and inexpensive. The convenience comes from the
ease and ability to place the child on the mother at any time to nurse. Plus, at night the mother
