Breaking Gender
Vince Gilligan the creator and producer of Breaking Bad, is a story about Walter White, a
high school chemistry teacher, played by Bryan Cranston. The first episode of Breaking Bad
“Pilot,” gives viewers an indication of who the characters are and the roles they play. Walter is a
teacher that is underappreciated by his students, he works two jobs to make ends meet, and on
top of that, he has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer. His wife, Skyler played by Anna Gunn is
pregnant and his son, Walter Jr. played by RJ Mitte is battling with cerebral palsy, which can not
be cured. When Walter finds out that he has cancer, he decides to start making and selling
