Packaging
Packaging can see from both perspectives which are company and consumers. In
packaging, the Nikon group try to identify the brand, convey descriptive and persuasive
information in the products, facilitate product transportation, and assist at-home storage.
Furthermore, there is also the aid product consumption in packaging. Indeed, packaging
can influence many aspects which include taste, value, and consumption, how a person
uses a product, and packaging revitalization. In Nikon, we stressed on how packaging can
influence value and consumption and how a person uses a product.
Green Dot Symbol
Green Dot system is a collection and recycling system for packaging waste. This system
has been adopted by domestic legislation in Member States in accordance with the 1994
European Directive on packaging and packaging waste.
The recycling of packaging materials has been promoted by the Nikon Group for Nikon
products in Japan. The way adopted is by outsourcing the task to two parties which is
Japan Containers and Packaging Recycling Association.
In accordance with its national laws in Europe, some countries have developed a
packaging waste collection and recycling system. These countries are adopting the Green
Dot system. A collection and recycling fee is being paid to recycling organizations in each
country and by displaying the Green Dot mark on its product packaging which means that
there is cooperation in collection and recycling of packaging materials between Nikon
Group and those countries that participate in this program.
