Bottled Water Reflection
The Story of Bottled Water was a short, yet very insightful video. There was a ton of eye-
opening information packed into eight short minutes. American’s have been virtually
brainwashed into thinking that bottled water is “better” than tap water, and bottled water
companies have done a tremendous job at this. It was interesting to learn that bottled water is in
fact less sustainable, less tasty, and way more expensive versus tap water. I thought it was quite
intriguing that when bottled water first came out people thought it was silly, as tap water is free.
It was like manufacturers were making the average person pay for something that could be
obtained for much cheaper such as the air we breathe. The bottled water industry did a fantastic
job by scaring people into buying their product. Companies did this by telling the consumer that
