1.) I think it is clear that bottled water is in the growth stage of the product life cycle. Most
major brands are past the introductory phase and are sustainable in the market meaning
that most big bottled water companies are way past that. There is a growing demand
among consumers for bottled water over other alternatives like tap and this has allowed
major bottled water companies to create new product features to ensure growth. There are
still places in the world where bottled water is inaccessible meaning that many bottled
water companies can tap into that area for even more growth. These companies are
definitely not in the maturity or decline phase as that would suggest that sales are
stabilizing then decreasing which is most definitely not happening. Especially in times of
crisis, like now with COVID-19, bottled water demand is at an all time high and sales are
not slowing down anytime soon.

Evian claims that all of the water they share comes directly from nature and is collected
from a French city. They advocate that all the water is the result of snow and water that
flows through the glaciers and is completely free of chemicals. Contrary to Evian, Aqua
Pacific says that all their water needs to be prepared through preparation and filtration to
remove all contaminants above 0.2 microns and then ozonate them before bottling. They
say that these procedures are both chemical free. Perrier’s marketing department also
claims that their water is purchased from French springs and is free from all
