Topic 1: Brazil and China’s unemployment rates in the year of 2017
Brazil:
(A2)Brazil’s unemployment rates, in the year, of 2017 went from a high of 13.7%, in late march, to the
lowest it’s been in 14 months, 11.8%, in December, but it is still really high. The unemployment rate
used to be at a 4.5%, but the auto industry in 2015 had an awful year where there were more layoffs as
car sales fell 26.5% 2 years ago in 2016. Brazil has been suffering in the past two years of a recession
since 2015 and is said to have finally gotten out of it this year.
China:
(B) China’s unemployment rates have been steadily around 4% in the past decade but that is mostly
