DRP #1: Borg Chapters 1-4
My group, consisting of Ty, Dylan, and David, had a great discussion about Borg’s book,
“Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time.” Borg brought great insight to the life of Jesus. His
book revolved around Jesus being “Jesus the Nazareth.” Matthew and Mark tell the story of
Jesus followed by Luke telling it again. In contrast to the other gospel writers, Luke tells the
story in a historical type of way. Luke describes in detail the birth, life, and death of Jesus. Luke
also describes Jesus. He creates the image of Jesus as being a radical social prophet.
