Today I want to urge people to donate blood.
I. Attention Getter: How can you save a life today? It’s simple; blood donation. In Canada and The
United States (U.S.), there were over 4.5 million people that needed a blood transfusion within a
year. One in seven hospital patients have to receive a blood transfusion during their stay.
Someone in the U.S. and Canada needs blood every two seconds. Each day there are thousands
of pints of blood donated. This is:
