Human Cloning
It has been wondered by many scientists, sci-fi lovers, and even regular people if
this is a possibility that humans are capable of doing. Human cloning often is displayed
in movies that are fiction to produce entertainment and interest to the viewers but has it
ever been attempted and succeeded in produce a clone? The answer would be no as
far as human cloning goes there has never been another being produced from embryos
although human embryos have been cloned. This topic was chosen as it interests many
people if it is possible in this day and age. I believe that human cloning is unethical
despite the reasons that may say otherwise. This topic is about the potential cloning of
humans in that cloning techniques could be combined with genetic engineering to cure
hereditary disease, having a twin copy of living genes would be beneficial, it is morally
wrong to bring a human being to life unnaturally, the potential risks and catastrophes
weigh out the reasons why human cloning should take place, and there are many
complications and risks of this type of process.
Starting with the first point made that cloning techniques could be combined with
genetic engineering to cure hereditary diseases. The positive reasons for this statement
are that a genetic disease-carrying couple, knowing they have the hereditary disease,
may create another life by producing another embryo. Then this embryo would be
screened for the hereditary disease and if none is detected, it may be cloned into a
living baby being hereditary disease-free. The couple would now have potentially cured
