Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks is a widely known super model and reality television host. She is also a
wonderful photographer and director/ producer. Born on December 4, 1973, in Inglewood,
California Bank’s father, Don Banks, was a computer consultant and her mother, Carolyn, was a
medical photographer. Banks's parents divorced when she was about 6 years old, but she says
that she was too young for the divorce to negatively affect her. "As far as I could see, I had it
made," Banks said. "I stayed with Mommy on the weekdays and Daddy on the weekends. I had
two birthday parties, two Christmases. Double the presents, double the love," (“Tyra Banks,”
2017). In middle school Banks confesses that she was kind of a “Mean Girl.” Come high school
she grew to be tall and “dorky.” She says she went from being popular to being the outcast.
