Introduction:
The book of Romans is a letter written to Christians in Rome. Paul was writing
this letter to the newly formed Christian church in Rome to define for them and to help
explain what they should believe and how they should see the world. He is writing to
convey what their worldview should be. In Romans 1-8, Paul addresses many of the
different components that relate to having a Biblical worldview, but in this essay I will
discuss specifically what Paul says about the natural world, human identity, human
relationships, and culture, and how having a biblical worldview shapes your perceptions
of theses four topics.
The Natural World:
First lets begin with discussing what Paul has to say about the natural world and
how the Biblical worldview shapes your thinking of it. In chapter one Paul states, “For
since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine
nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that
people are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20) He then goes on to explain that although we
