LinkedIn at Career Center
My time at the Career Center was an experience that was extremely helpful in beginning my
process towards finding a better job. Before coming to the Career Center, I did not have a resume set up
for myself, but it was no problem. I could recall everything I needed to set up my profile, which I was
assisted with. I entered all my information about the university I attend, how long I’ve been a student at
Towson, my major, my GPA, my skills and experiences. What was most helpful during this process was
when the person assisting me helped me identify my skills through the job experience I’ve had before. I
didn’t think I had many skills that could be put on a resume because I haven’t had an internship before,
and I’ve only worked with AmeriCorps for a year. In addition to working with AmeriCorps for only a year,
I’ve also been working with America Counts for a couple of months now. However, considering the
duration that I’ve been working in social, physical, and educational settings, identifying the skills I’ve
many people on your profile as well.
