Believe it or Not
Acts of deception occur in everyday life. When deception is used in a situation, it is
intended to place the deceiving party in a better position or to keep the deceiving party out of
trouble. Deception may not always be used for intentional harm, but can be destructive in
instances such as establishing a relationship, faking an illness, or avoiding negative
repercussions.
