Diversity in the American Workplace has been embraced more. Being a black
person in a white workplace comes with many challenges. Most of the professionals in white-
collar jobs have to undergo special training and have proper credentials to work in an environment
where they are the minority. The territory may come with much decimation, and they must act in
a particular way. Many of these individuals have to face the psychological torture of being a black
person in a predominantly white environment. Research shows that most black people in these
communities often try to manage their emotions from racial discrimination in their Workplace
carefully. The report will discuss the personal dilemma that a black person might face in a white
workplace. These dilemmas include the lack of many black people in managerial positions, failure
to have equal pay, and discrimination in the work environment. A white person is more likely to
find better opportunities in the Workplace than a black person is.
Black people are more likely to be more ambitious and aspire for top jobs than
white people. Although blacks may be more qualified and more experienced than the white may,
they may not get the jobs they deserve. In cooperate, the path that the white people follow to get
the top jobs is much easier than that of the black, who have to see invisible barriers to the white
professionals. The fact that white people do not see that black people have to work twice as hard
to get job advancements is quite sickening. White people have more opportunities in their fields
hence more mentoring from their senior leaders. For instance, a black man may have a dilemma
in their career path; but the supervisor may look like they do not have their things together.
However, the same situation for a white man would mean that they need more positions to fit in.
