In November 2004, I was in my EMT class at granger high school. The class has been
going pretty good through out the year. I haven’t had to do much writing besides the incident
reports we go over in class, plus we haven’t had to do any presentations either. Well today was
different, our teacher Mrs. B said, “That she had a “Big” [using her hands with air quotes]
assignment for us next class. I began to think when I got home that night I wondered what this
“Big” assignment would be. Thinking maybe it will be a research paper, possibly an internship
or maybe a group project.
As the next class day approached I began to get a little nervous thinking what this “Big”
assignment was going to be. I get to class and when I enter the room it seems like all is normal
everyone is joking around and talking having a good time. Mrs. B entered the room and the
