Stereotypes at High School
Stereotypes are created by teenagers to feel like they fit in or to feel accepted by others.
Being an adolescent means that we are at the stage of defining who we are. In the movie The
Breakfast Club, five students at fictional Shermer High School, report for Saturday detention.
While they are not complete strangers, the five of them are all from different cliques or social
groups. They stereotype themselves as the criminal, the princess, the brain, the basket case, and
