Aroma: Right off the bat, I was hit with a wheat smell with a hint of lemon or maybe
even oranges.
Appearance: Once you poured the beer into the glass, it was a pale gold color that was a
little hazy but you could still see a little bit through the glass. You could see the bubbles
from the bottom continuously rise up to the top.
Body and Texture: The beer had a light/medium body which I really enjoyed and it had
a creamy after taste.
Overall impressions: I am a huge fan of light beers, especially Belgium Whites. I never
had this brand before so I was very interested in trying it out. This beer was very
flavorful, had a moderate amount of sweetness, and had a slight bitterness to it towards
the end. Overall, I really liked this beer and would recommend it to my friends and
others.
Specific detection of any “off” flavor or aroma, or not: At first, I thought the beer was
going to taste very earthy because of the strong hay like smell it gave off. After tasting it,
I got more fruity flavors than the earthy taste I was expecting.
Food tasted with beer/Impression of pairing: I tasted the beer with chicken tikka
masala that I made from scratch. This was a very interesting combo of flavors. Each of
the items individually were amazing and delicious, but combining the Indian spices in the
masala with the Belgium White didn’t really leave a good taste in my mouth.
