Beach Passes

Seasonally, I have worked in my local towns parks and recreation department from
2018 2021. While being employed for the town, one of my main responsibilities was selling the
yearly recreation beach pass. This yearly pass grants residents access to our beach facilities, two
bay beaches both with their own themed spray park, as well as three ocean beaches. The pass is a

sticker and is sold per vehicle and are nontransferable after adhering. The pass changes color
yearly and easily spotted by beach staff.
To purchase the recreation beach pass, you must be a resident of the town and prove
residence. Proof of residency includes driver’s license, registration of the car and the current
year’s tax form. All three documents must share the same address within the town. There are
many exceptions for company vehicles, snowbirds, rental cars, and other irregularities. There are
four types of recreation passes the standard resident pass, senior citizens pass for residents over
the age of 60, a veteran pass those applying for this pass needed to show a DD214 or military
ID, and volunteer firefighter pass those applying for this pass need to show fire department ID
and must be on the active roster provided by each department each season. The most current
