Group Project Preliminary Report 2
An overview and summary of this project is the same from the 1st report, being that we work
for a retail bank called Spenser bank Inc. Our bank wants to deploy some big data analytics
solutions to help the bank’s business operations improve; especially the marketing. Our overall
goal is to improve the bank’s competitiveness and decision making which will result in a better
NPV and customer retention rate. We will work as a team of 5 to complete this project. The
project is a 12-step process ending in our team presenting our recommendations to the bank’s
executives, for which big data analytics solution to use and how to implement it. We split up
the 12 tasks between the 5 of us so that everyone has 2 steps each and 1 person has 3 steps.
Starting with Brian, he is responsible for steps #1-#3, then Twasha has #4 and #5, Gabrielle has
#6 and #7, Kimberly has #8 and #9, and lastly, I have #10 and #11. In my individual work I have
