Delta Airlines security breach
The case study outlines the responses that was taken by Delta Airlines as soon as they noticed that a
breach in their systems. It shows the need for improved web application and internet security
processes, better accountability, and why cybersecurity is critical to securing the loyalty of an
organization’s most valued customers. It also highlights the steps that should be taken by an
organization when a breach occurs. Delta Air worked close with the customers whose data was
stolen and worked with law enforcement agencies to help identify when and how the breach
occurred. The affected organization should communicate closely with affected clients and law
enforcement to ensure thorough information flow. They need to also be sincere and notify the
officials and clients when they notice a data breach immediately as this allows clients and law
enforcers to start acting. The organization should also share details regarding the breach and
educate the affected clients on how to reduce the affects of the data breach. Safeguard shpuld be
prepared for future events by not only increasing their countermeasures but also educating their
clients on how to prevent similar situations later. In addition, organizations should engage in press
talks with the media and share what they have done to solve the breach and how to prevent it from
