The purpose of this paper is to talk about what exactly online marketing is and
why it is so important to use online marketing in this generation. Since marketing on the
television isn’t working as well anymore since people are able to fast-forward or just get
up and leave during commercials, companies have to figure a better way to market their
products. Online marketing really reaches our generation because we spend most of our
time on the computer and on our phones. Since social media is a very popular thing,
companies are able to create their own social media pages so that their customers will
follow them on social media. With that, they are able to market their new products on
that social media site marking their followers want it. Also, companies use celebrity
endorsements because so many people look up to celebrities and people are will to buy
