This case provides a glimpse into the automobile industry for Brazil and Mexico. The
information provided allows us to see the differences in how each country deals with the
automobile import/export business. Brazil struggles with the automobile industry primarily
because of the protectionism it practices and high tariffs it has on imports. If Brazil were to
work with other countries, would their automobile industry be stronger or would they succumb
to the industrial giants?
